Russ Schoen

Russ is dedicated to educating, amusing and inspiring people to reach their innovative potential.

Working as a facilitator, trainer and speaker in the areas of productive thinking, innovation, and leadership, Russ has delivered innovation programs throughout the world including programs in Singapore, Italy, Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada and the US.

Russ holds a Master of Science in Creativity, Innovation and Change Leadership from State University of New York and is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory specializing in improvisation.

He is a contributing author to a number of innovation articles and books including Your Guide Book, An Innovation Road Map and Your Tool Cards, an Innovation Catalyst published by THinc Communications.

A sampling of organizations to benefit from his training and facilitation the last few years include: Kraft, SC Johnson, International Flavors & Fragrances, Bristol Myers Squibb, Pfizer, Tap Pharmaceuticals, New Zealand Milk, Pepsi, Praxair and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Russ is a leader at the annual Creative Problem Solving Institute, the annual Creativity European Association's conference in Italy and the Mindcamp Creativity Conference in Toronto. Some of his recent conference offerings included: Listening is a Choice, Foursight: the Breakthrough Thinking Profile: Creative Conversations, and Kid-ovation.

Russ is also the co-founder of the Creative Youth Leadership Program, which is a program dedicated to enhancing leadership, communication and problem-solving skills among teens.

When he has some free moments, Russ can be found around Chicago practicing aikido, listening to the Beatles and improvising.
